2024 Service Award
Recognition fuels growth.
The Service to NAPO Award is bestowed upon a NAPO volunteer or group whose dedication and commitment to NAPO and their area of responsibility go above and beyond. The NAPO president selected the award recipient. Here is what the President said…
There’s a Harry Truman quotation where he said: “It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.” This years’ Service to NAPO award gives a nod to the legions of volunteers in NAPO who are making quiet contributions.
In all the years our Service to NAPO award recipient has been investing her time and talent in NAPO, she has never wanted her name on the marquee. When someone does not crave the spotlight, I often fear that they don’t know how much we value the impact that they have on NAPO.
We rarely talk about members “going above and beyond” simply through consistent dedication year after year after year. So today, I choose to honor someone who has been saying, “Yes— how can I help?” For twenty years.
This member contributed to her chapter board and then in various volunteer leadership roles at the national level, including CRC co-chair and BCPO Board member. She is an active, driving voice in her SIG. Her most recent volunteer role was part of a communication task team that just wrapped its work in January. And every year, because of her post on POINT, she inspires us all to pack sustainably for NAPO Summit!
Congratulations to this year’s Service to NAPO award recipient, Megan Spears!

“Megan has a great personality and vibrant energy. She has creative ideas.“
